The vessel's billionaire owner, Nobu Su, the CEO of Taiwanese shipping company TMT Group, said the ship would float across the Gulf "like a lawn mower cutting the grass," ingesting up to 500,000 barrels of oil-contaminated water a day.

Nubo took an oil tanker and modified it as I and others have suggested to due. Now a foreign entity is coming to our aid when we could have done the exact same thing.

Go figure ??

This VESSEL was suggested to our government on several occasions.

EVERYBODY HAS A SOLUTION - SO HERE IS MY IDEA TO FIX THE MESS

GET THE OIL BEFORE IT GETS TO SHORE - QUICK - CHEAP AND EASY

Problem
1: Collecting oil shear on top or below sea level with special collectors.
2: Not using fuel while collecting such oil, no power boats required, Go Green.
3: Continuous use for extended life cycle

Solution
1: Using readily available barges with ballast tanks on both sides, at least dual tanks for ballast and balance.
Barge open barge at both ends with several compartments separated by screens for oils of different viscosity oil collecting materials.
Absorbents should be burnable for reusable and renewable energy.
2: Use a Turbo-Sail, Wind Powered Spiral turbine Propellers

3: Solar panels covering the deck to control electronics, navigation, and other electronic needs.

Finally
1: You will have a barge that will be self propelled, with retractable blades ( like a snow plow ) to cover a wide area, estimated up to 200 feet wide. When the collection material is saturated it will close the doors and call out to be pumped out and refilled with collection material.
2: This Vehicle can be guided using GPS and could run continuously without any fuel consumption or personal.
3: These should be mandatory for circling all offshore rigs.
4: In short this would be a unmanned DRONE for oil rigs.

Estimated Cost:
1: 1 million per unit, $200,000.00 annual maintenance, less materials and parts replacements.
These units could be up and running in a matter of days with materials and proven technology already on the market.

IF THIS WAS DONE 3 WEEKS AGO - NO OIL WOULD BE COMING ASHORE!!

I own a small Auto Repair Shop in the Town of Stony Point.
Many of my Neighbors are a pain, but everybody has a bad one.

Well just this year my neighbor filed a false police report stating that
I was dumping Oil Down the water catch basin.

Well it took the Rockland County Department of Health all but 10 Minutes to arrive.

I was given a violation because a backhoe on the property had a drip coming from under it.

Job Security I guess, the inspectors vehicle had a bigger oil leak.

NOW LETS ASSUME I DUMPED 20,000,000 (MILLION) GALLONS OF OIL IN THE OCEAN.

DO YOU THINK THAT THE GOVERNMENT WOULD SAY, GO AHEAD, FIX IT WHEN YOU CAN !

IF I PAID OFF THE RIGHT PEOPLE - MAYBE

SEAL THE LEAK - YOU CRIMINALS

BP HAD THEIR CHANCE TO CAP IT, AND MAKE MORE MONEY BY PIPING THE

OIL TO A TANKER ABOVE AND MAKE MORE $$$$$$$$$$$$$$

If you are unable to pay your property taxes and you need to finance them, the Rockland County Taxation department will charge you up to 50% interest - or take your home.

The address will be removed to protect the innocent but the numbers are from the 2009 Rockland County Department of Finance.

NOTE: Quoted from Congressman John Halls Office (845)291-4100 on 11-18-2009, " we have no say over what Rockland County does ". In other words, TOO BAD !

POWER FROM THE SUN - SOLAR DECATHLON - 2009

Governor Paterson announces major expansion of New York’s solar energy.

This month the U.S. Department of Energy hosted another, Solar Decathlon in Washington DC, Lots of information can be seen
from the following link: SOLAR DECATHLON 2009.

I was caught off guard because the show is usually every 4 years but I was advised at the last minute that is was going to be hosted every 2 years,
this weekend. So after a visit to , WWW.PRICELINE.COM , I was able to get a nice 4 star for $100.00 a night.

This year was different from the previous shows because the homes were not totally off the grid, no batteries, the criteria was to build " Grid Tie Units".

The show was live PV grid tie only, some have solar hot water, I was amazed what the teams came up with, including electric radiant heating and lots of PV
panels on the sides of the homes.

I thought that one of the coolest homes was the Madrid Spain display with a inverted pyramid roof that tracked the sun. While shooting in HD a few
concerns came to mind, like wind gusts spinning the roof around like a top and overall stability of the roof. After addressing this matter to one of the
designers they replied that the roof could be locked into place with hydraulic cylinders that came up from all four corners to secure the roof. After I
inspected this system I was even further amazed. Unfortunately the Spain home did not score very high in the overall standings but the idea even had
the top 3 winners thinking and we all agreed that is was a great idea.

Of the top 3 winners, Germany won for the 2nd year in a row. It was impressive, produced 20K max and had a modern look both inside and out.

This year all the homes were GUI designs, ( Graphical User Interface) computer controlled homes as well as many being networked and could be
controlled by your IPOD. One home even had a weather alert system that could adjust the home for oncoming weather conditions.

In general, if you had any interest in what a " TOTALLY SOLAR HOME COULD BE", you missed out on a great show so be sure to catch
the next one.

If you drive around the town of Stony Point you will see at least 20 to 30 Empty Store Fronts.
Unless you are a multi-Million Dollar corporation and have the money to line
the pockets of the right people, " DON'T WAIST YOUR TIME".
